Long winded Arashi rant ahead

 

Actually, this has been on my mind ever since Dear Snow came out, and here’s what I don’t get, why are some fans all of sudden “not so much into Arashi lately” or “New Arashi sucks” or “Their new shows aren’t as good anymore, I miss the old Arashi shows.”, I mean the boys are finally hitting the top they’ve talked about hitting since 2004, shouldn’t we as their fans be uber proud of them?

Also all this talked that Arashi isn’t the same Arashi than before, where is this coming from? Because, I don’t see the difference between 2007 Arashi and 2010 Arashi, sure things are just on a grander scale this time around, but I see them as the same, because the boys are still the boys, maybe I haven’t been a fan long enough, but all the people I see talking about this have either been a fan around the same time as me or later, if not a little bit earlier, I’ve been a fan since late 2008-early 2009, which is when Arashi started rising btw, but I’ve marathon-ed the hell out the old Arashi Shows, USO?!Japan, Mayonaka no Arashi, CxDxG no Arashi, Gold Rush Arashi, MMA, Nama Arashi: Live Storm, Arashi no Waza-Ari, Arashi no Shukudai-kun, old HnA, new HnA, old VS Arashi, new VS Arashi and now Arashi ni Shiyagare, I’ve seen their guest appearances anywhere from when they debuted till now and seriously, all this talk about how “they’ve changed” “they’re not the same as before”, first of all people change it’s the way we are, we just change, but deep down some of us stay the same, our core is the same, you know what I see as I watch all of the old shows versus the new shows, I see the boys growing up, maturing, finding themselves, having more confidence in who they are and what they do, I see the boys as freer, Jun smiles more now, Sho still laughs and looks (even more) fondly at his members, Aiba is still the loveable airhead, and Ohno is talking more, and sure Nino makes more cutting remarks but that’s his charm, and I see it as he has more confidence now and that’s why he makes more of them.

Also people bitching about the amount of singles they put out last year, and how they’re already bitching about the new single that hasn’t even been announced, the singles and the album last year were AMAZING, they were all different from each other and they were all so good. Also this thing about the dramas, there’s people saying they aren’t excited for Aiba’s drama or that it’ll probably end up disappointing them, like seriously? You haven’t even watched it yet and you’re already saying stuff, or how Sho’s rumored drama is another drama they won’t be watching, it hasn’t even been announced and people are already saying things like this, but they go on about how much they love Arashi and the boys but it just sounds like such bullshit to me. I’m bat-shit excited for Aiba’s drama not only because it’s an AIBA DRAMA but because the Manga sounds interesting, I’ve read some of it and really it’s good, and I’m sure I’ll love Sho’s drama if he has one this coming spring,

Just UGH okay, Arashi has made me the happiest I’ve been in years, literally, I’m far more friendly now, and I talk to people more, and if I get down all I have to do is watch one of their shows/PVs/dramas or listen to their songs, or read interviews and like magic I’m not as depressed anymore because Arashi is the answer to cure depression, and just yeah, I love them. I don’t care that I’ll probably never meet them and that I’ll maybe go to one concert if any, I love them, end of story. I’ll never stop being excited for their releases, or their new dramas, or anything new they do, because Arashi will always be Arashi.
